Washington, D.C. — Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) returned from a congressional delegation to the Southern Border as Title 42 expired. He traveled with Sens. Roger Marshall (R-KS), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and John Hoeven (R-ND) to Brownsville, Texas.
The senators received a briefing from border patrol and other law enforcement and witnessed the ongoing crisis firsthand.
Senator Budd was able to personally thank the men and women on the front lines of this crisis for their efforts. He also sent President Biden a clear message:
“To have a strong country, we have to have strong borders, and Joe Biden is not doing that.”
Senator Budd’s first bill he introduced as a U.S. Senator was the Build the Wall Now Act, which would force the Biden administration to restart border wall construction immediately using existing funding.
