Washington, D.C. — Today, Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) released a video statement celebrating the inauguration of President Trump as the 47th President of the United States and JD Vance as the 50th Vice President of the United States.
Senator Budd said:
“I believe that the American people re-elected President Trump because they were sick and tired of business as usual in Washington, DC. They’ve been sick of it for many years. They’ve seen lackluster wages, higher prices, unsafe streets, and a world in chaos. What’s worse, we’ve had politicians tell the working families that all of this is somehow normal. That this is the best we can do. The pain they feel isn’t real because a few cherry-picked economic numbers say all is well.
“President Trump said otherwise. His message was one of inspiration and hope, of big dreams and a higher purpose. He has promised to turn the page from an era of mediocrity to a time of unparalleled prosperity for all. He called it “a new golden age” for the United States.
“Look, President Trump is an unconventional guy. He’s an out of the box thinker. He’s chosen outsiders for his cabinet. His approach is different by design. He’s brought America incredible success once, and he’s ready to do it again. It’s time to make our nation stronger than it’s ever been.”
